Great news for all MotoGP fans. Servus<\/strong> TV<\/strong>, the German commercial broadcaster owned by Red Bull, has acquired rights in Austria for the MotoGP motorcycling championship.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

MotoGP satellite TV schedule<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but it will commence with Servus TV broadcasting live every<\/strong> race<\/strong> and<\/strong> qualifying<\/strong> session<\/strong> from<\/strong> this<\/strong> year\u2019s<\/strong> championship<\/strong>, until the end of the season 2018. Servus TV has also secured online<\/strong> and mobile<\/strong> rights for Austrian market and will also air coverage of the Moto2<\/strong> and Moto3<\/strong> classes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The announcement of the broadcaster\u2019s deal with Dorna Sports, the championship\u2019s promoter, comes ahead of Austria\u2019s first staging of a MotoGP race in 19 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Red Bull Ring in Spielberg will host the event on August 14 and Red Bull will have their own team participating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Servus<\/strong> TV<\/strong> will shoot on location throughout the year with its own on-air team. As well as race action, its coverage will feature background information on the championship, as well as analysis and interviews with riders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe fact that Servus TV will show races of each category and go to the grand prix with their own team demonstrates the high degree of commitment to this new venture,\u201d<\/em> Manel Arroyo<\/strong>, Dorna\u2019s<\/strong> managing director of media and television, said in his statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Servus TV is a TV station based in Wals-Siezenheim in the Austrian state of Salzburg. The station started terrestrial transmissions in Berlin in December 2011 and in Hamburg in June 2014.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Servus TV is available via terrestrial transmission in Austria, southern Germany and in the German cities Berlin and Hamburg, as well as Europe-wide from the Astra 19.2\u00b0E satellite constellation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Servus TV has exclusive TV rights for season 2015\/2016 on German<\/strong> Hockey<\/strong> League<\/strong> (DEL)<\/strong> and covers Sundays night match live and free-to-air.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2016 MotoGP season gets underway in Doha<\/strong>, Qatar<\/strong> on<\/strong> March<\/strong> 20.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
