The Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL) announced that all 34 matches of the ongoing Twenty20 tournament will be broadcast on Facebook Live, across 40 countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 It will be the first time ever that the international cricket match has been broadcast using social network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL) tournament is scheduled to take place between June 29 to August 7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CPL<\/strong> Chief<\/strong> Operations Officer<\/strong> Pete<\/strong> Russell<\/strong> said for CPL official website<\/a>: \u201cWe are delighted to announce how we\u2019re using Facebook Live, which we believe has the potential to change the face of cricket broadcasting and enhance the CPL\u2019s ever-increasing international audience. I<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According official website<\/a>, CPL\u2019s global viewership in 2015 exceeded 93 million and with the 1.6 billion active users, Facebook live is a perfect boost viewership and engage with cricket fans across the globe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Carribean Premier League <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Caribbean Premier League (CPL or CPLT20) is an annual Twenty20 cricket tournament held in the Caribbean, created in 2013 and replaced the Caribbean Twenty20. The inaugural tournament was won by the Jamaica Tallawahs who defeated the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the final.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Six teams competed in the first CPLT20 tournament in 2013 \u2013 Jamaica Tallawahs, Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel, Barbados Tridents, Guyana Amazon Warriors, St. Lucia Zouks, Antigua Hawksbills<\/strong>. The CPL T20 tournament is played between six teams and is divided into a group stage and a knockout stage. In the group stage, the teams each play ten matches overall, three of which are at home.
