More than a year ago, Sky and Perform Group (DAZN) announced that they will work together to acquire exclusive rights to air UEFA Champions League games. While Sky is officially sole UEFA partner, DAZN will show a number of individual UCL games and thus contributes a significant portion of the financial volume.

Live events from the Tennis WTA Tour, Darts or the American professional basketball league NBA are also part of the broadcasts on the two additional channels.

The new partnership between Sky and DAZN in Germany isn’t matured for private end users. They are initially working very closely together in sports bars. Sky Deutschland and Sky Austria will be able to offer selected DAZN sport events in their verified Sky Sportsbars over the next three seasons. Both DAZN tv channel are initially only available via satellite. An expansion for cable customers is planned.

Sky will thus be serving the catering trade with the most diverse live sports offerings – all from a single source. Our customers can enjoy even more exciting live sports in one of the numerous Sky Sportsbars over the next three years, especially all matches with German participation in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League”.
