Great news for the football fans in Germany, all matches will be transmitted free-to-air (FTA). For the first time in its history, German commercial broadcaster Sat.1, will show games of a UEFA European Football Championship live. Euro 2016 broadcasters and FTA free-to-air satellite TV channels Parent company ProSiebenSat.1 agreed with German public broadcasters ARD and ZDF and their agency SportA on a sublicensing deal covering matches of the Euro 2016 in France. Financial details have not been disclosed.
